Our Story
How We Got Here
The dream and vision behind The Table emerged from First United Methodist Church of Owasso. In May 2016, FUMC Owasso and Disciple UMC in Catoosa made the decision that we were better together and began to explore what this meant for both churches.
On January 1, 2017, we celebrated the many lives that were changed by the ministries and mission of Disciple UMC, but officially stopped gathering for worship in Catoosa on that Sunday so that something 'new' could take shape. For many local churches, this is where the story ends, but for us, it was the beginning of The Table; a new chapter in the life of the church. We are excited to launch weekly services in our newly renovated space starting February 11, 2018. Join us Sundays at @10am!
Why "The Table"?
The vision of The Table is to be a place where people can find belonging and connection, and be inspired and encouraged to make a difference in the world. The Table is a picture of God's hospitality towards us, and so we seek to be a community that extends hospitality to all would say yes to God's invitation.
What we believe
The Table Church is a part of the United Methodist denomination. While each United Methodist church is a little different, there are some distinct beliefs that we affirm. You can read more if you are interested by clicking here
What we Value
Worship - Our time to connect with God. This happens primarily on Sundays as we gather together.
Community - Connecting with each other. We find connection through eating together, participating in journey groups (small groups), and serving together.
Missional - Mission is not just something we do, it flows from our very identity and who God has created us to be. We encourage people to be on mission in the places they work, live and play.
